    Intel 622ANHMW fake or not?

    tmrlop

      Hi

Could someone please help confirm if the Intel 622ANHMW installed on this Dual Band 2.4/5GHz 300M 6200 PCI-E Desktop Computer Wireless WIFI Card For Intel is a fake?

I see "Intel Wifi Link 6200" instead of "Centrino" on the sticker.

          Hello tmrlop,

We understand you would like to determine if the adapter you found online is a real Intel® product. We are not able to refer to this based only on the information from the website, in this case we advise you to check on this with the manufacturer or reseller of the card. Here are some important aspects about your inquiry:

          - This PCIe* add-in card is manufactured by a third party (unbranded), we did a quick search and could not find any details about it. As best practice, we recommend using wireless adapters manufactured by Intel® or other known Original Equipment Manufacturers, and purchase them from reputable retailers.

          - The Intel® Centrino® Advanced-N 6200 has reached End of Interactive Support, the information and documentation about it is old and very limited. We recommend using wireless adapters based on current Intel® Wireless Products.

          - Currently, our last PCIe* Add-on wireless card was the Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 for Desktop, however, we know there are other vendors (such as Gigabyte* and Asus*) that have developed other add-in wireless cards for desktops using newer Intel 82XX controller series .

          Regards,
          Jonathan B.
