Hi Team,

I have purchased Intel processor i5-7400 with ASUS PRIME B250M-Pluse Motherboard.

In bios it shows 'Hyper Threading Technology' is 'Not Supported'. Can you please guide me to enable 'Hyper Threading Technology'.

Note:- As i checked with ASUS team updated that " 'Hyper Threading Technology' (HT-Technology) is the processor technology, so would request you that please contact your processor support team".

Vimalraju: Thank you very much for joining the Intel® Processors communities.

In order to provide the most accurate response, I will do further research on this matter to confirm if in fact the processor supports hyper-threading, since that feature is not showing as supported on the link below:

http://ark.intel.com/products/97147/Intel-Core-i5-7400-Processor-6M-Cache-up-to-3_50-GHz http://ark.intel.com/products/97147/Intel-Core-i5-7400-Processor-6M-Cache-up-to-3_50-GHz

But, on the datasheet, it states the processor supports it, page 57:

As soon as I get that information, I will post all the details on this thread.

Vimalraju: I just received an update on the research we are doing on this matter and actually the Hyper-Threading Technology is part of the entire platform but it does not mean it is in all SKUs. This specific processor since it is the desktop version, does not support it, however, there are some i5's (mobile) that do support this technology.

Any questions, please let me know.
