Thank you for contacting Intel Communities.
I am sorry to hear you are having issues to play audio from your Intel® NUC & the AVR. Can you please provide the following information to better assist you?
- Specific model number of the Intel® NUC Kit (Intel® NUC Kit NUC6CAYS or Intel® NUC Kit NUC6CAYH):
- Graphics driver version:
- Default playback device: (use Windows search next to the Start button and look for Sound):
I hope to hear from you soon.
Thanks for helping.
My model number is listed as BOXNUC6CAYSAJR rather than either of 2 you mentioned. I bought it from the online store Kogan - link below. It has a Celeron processor running Windows 10
Intel HD Graphics 500
Default playback Device: DENON-AVAMP
Please try installing the following graphics driver and let me know how it goes:
Intel® Graphics Driver for Windows* [15.45] Version: 220.127.116.1178 (Latest) Date: 5/30/2017
I found a solution while the driver was downloading!
Under playback devices properties > advanced, there is a tickbox with "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device"
I unticked it and it solved my problem!
Thanks in any case Juan
I now have the exe file for the driver update and will run it if I have any further trouble
