Thank you for contacting Intel Communities.
I am sorry to hear you are having issues to use the Intel® Driver Update Utility. Please try the following:
- Use the Windows Search (next to the start button) and look for "Services".
- Locate the Intel(R) Driver and Support Assistant > Right click > Properties > Startup type > Automatic > click Apply.
- Locate the Intel(R) System Usage Report Service SystemUsageReportSvc_QUEENCREEK > Right click > Properties > Startup type > Automatic > click Apply.
- Restart the computer.
This is Monique C., IDUU Product Manager. Can the user provide us with their log files from IDUU so our developers can look into this issue further? Our developers seem to think this is an issue with the service not starting properly on reboot; what the user is seeing is the tray failing to start the service but the service should already be running.
Log files can be located on the hard drive typically under C:\ProgramData\Intel\DSA
Hi pxl5102. Our IDSA team released a new version of IDSA on Dec 19 and I wanted to check in with you to see if you've tried upgrading to the new version yet and if it worked for you? The latest release (v184.108.40.206) includes a fix for the tray icon start up issue that was being reported by some users.
