At the moment, only these CPUs have been validated on the DX58SO.

Unfortunately, even i cannot find any compatible Intel (R) Desktop Boards that work with it for now. Probably, it has been validated on most non-intel boards (X58 chipset) first.
Note: This CPU being LGA1366 would not work on the new Intel (R) board like DH55HC, DH55TC, DP55KG, DP55SB, DP55WB, DP55WG, DH57JG, DQ57TM.
I tried to contact Technical Support to varify if this motherboard support i7-930, still no answer.
Thanks Rajiv, I sent them an email too, and still no answer
I installed it, updated to the latest 5020 BIOS and the only thing I noticed that the borad does not
beep during POST - Installed Win7 64, installed OK, nothing in BIOS event or the OS Event logs,
hoping that Intel will be releasing new BIOS for the CPU
I can tell you my answer and its a definite no! I've had nothing but excessive and potentially dangerous temps on the IOH and the CPU temps via the IDCC monitors. Ambient temps always reading in the low 40C while my AC cooled room is a cool 22C.
I'm gonna try another manufacturer. Too bad too, bc my last board (badaxe2) was my last board and I was completely happy with that!
Not true, My PC with DX58SO and i7-930 CPU works like a Charm, I figured that Intel did not yet updated their website for the compatibility of this
CPU, and after 1 week, the website was updated to include this CPU.
However I do want to mention one thing, this is a POWER HOG !!!, it requires some serious juice to run it, I had 500W power supply for:
4GB of Kingston HyperX RAM
3 SATA HDs
2 Removable MEDIA drives (DVDs)
and about an average Graphics card (ATI 57XX series)
and this was seriously underrated !! for a 500W power supply as my motherboard started loosing components
LAN stopped working, affected AUDIO, freeze and sometimes did not boot at all with no beeps, POST etc.
After removing memory chip, or removing components it use to come back..... Answer 750 Watts of POWER !!
Running like a Charm now....
Hope this helps
