Intel 7260HMW AC bluetooth not recognized by Toshiba C55T-B5109

I have a Toshiba Satellite C55T-B5109. I have recently upgraded my other two laptops (a Dell and an Asus) to this same card. All have Windows 10, but my Toshiba is the only one that doesn't recognize the Bluetooth adapter on the card. Everything is connected correctly.

Hello Seants1976,

The Bluetooth* functionality of the Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 will not work if the PC was not designed to use this adapter. The card has two different components that need to be accessed through the same HMC connector, Bluetooth* uses USB and Wi-Fi uses PCIe. If the hardware does not have this capability, Bluetooth* will not be available.

Our main recommendation is to contact the http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/topics/OEMs.html Computer Manufacturer Support, or its authorized representative to confirm compatibility.

Please keep in mind that Intel does not support, nor recommends custom integration of wireless adapters since this may lead to installation errors, connection issues, software error messages, and in some cases it may even be illegal.

Intel does not recommend end users install or upgrade the various Intel® Wireless Adapter. For more information, please check the following advisories:

In our best effort, here are a couple items for your consideration:

- Check if the BIOS of your PC has the option to enable the USB interface in the Half Mini Card slot. You can check on this with the OEM.

- Look in Windows* Device Manager and check if the device is seen at all.

- Try installinghttps://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26779/Wireless-Intel-Wireless-Bluetooth-for-Windows-10-?product=75439 Intel® Wireless Bluetooth® for Windows® 10* [19.60.0].

If the issue persists at this point, please engage Toshiba support for further assistance.

Regards,

Jonathan B.
