    NUC7I7BNH - Very noisy fan

      I purchased NUC7i7BNH computer 3 days ago,

After installing Windows 10 Pro the fan is constantly noisy and it is also found on 1-2% CPU (Pic Attached)

I automatically get into BIOS and saw that it was out of date, after updating to version 0046 and change cooling setting to quiet it still unreasonably noisy,

As owner of NUC6I5SYH I have an object to compare how a quiet fan sounds and in balanced state, I never felt the need to update settings on it,

Any suggest what should i do ?

Honestly I've been considering returning it back to store..

I must say regardless of the noise issue that is very disturb, it is a bit disappointing to see that not all new drivers have been integrated into Windows update..

I would be grateful for your reference,

      My Spec:

      HyperX Impact 2x8GB DDR4 2133Mhz CL13

      Samsung 960 EVO M.2 MZ-V6E250BW

      Best regards,

          Hello Vam,

Thank you for contacting Intel Communities.

I am sorry to hear you are having issues with your new Intel® NUC.

At this point, I would recommend returning the item to the store (you have 30 days to do so), this because you have updated the BIOS and changed cooling settings.

          I hope this helps.

          Best Regards,
          Juan V.

            Dear Juan

Thank you for the fast response,

According to your answer I assume that you are aware of this issue, which at present seems to be a hardware problem rather than software.

hope you resolve it soon and hope that will not have a problem with returning the product.

In the event that i will contact with the importer in my country.

And again thanks for the direct response, you have excellent service.

            Best Regards

I recommend that you try the following,

                   1. Change the Power Settings in BIOS from Max Performance to Balanced (i.e. uncheck Max Performance Enabled and then check Balanced Enabled)

                   2. Change the default programming to the following:

                        FSC Config.bmp

                   3. In the Windows Power Options Control Panel applet, ensure that the preferred plan is set to Balanced (and NOT High Performance).
