Vaio Pro13 unable to connect to Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter after Win 10 update

Hi all,

I'm hoping someone can help me.

My wife has a Sony Vaio Pro SVP1321A4E on Win 8.1. (i5-4200U, 4Gb RAM) She is able to connect to our Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter plugged into the TV with no problems.

I have a Sony Vaio Pro SVP1321C5E on Win 10 Creators Update. (i7-4500U, 8Gb RAM) They both run an Intel Dual Band Wireless-N 7260 WiFi card, mine has Driver version 18.33.6.2 19/2/17.

They are essentially the same computers although mine has a better CPU and more RAM yet I cant get it to connect to the wireless adapter. All I get is:

this device may have trouble displaying your content as because its hardware wasn't specifically designed for wireless projection.

I'm tearing my hair out because it worked before the win 10 update!! The hardware works but the OS or drivers or something else doesn't! Has this happened to anyone else?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions..

"Intel has discontinued marketing and development for Intel® Wireless Display (Intel® WiDi) and Intel® Pro Wireless Display (Intel® Pro WiDi) applications and related receiver certification programs effective immediately.

Because the Miracast* standard is natively supported in Windows® 10 and Windows 8.1* operating systems for wireless display capabilities with strong user experience, Intel is redirecting resources and focuses on future areas of growth.

Hello Rockhoond1,

In our best effort, we advise you to contact the http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/topics/OEMs.html Computer Manufacturer Support for assistance. Make sure you install their latest driver for graphics and wireless.

Also, keep in mind that the Miracast* is natively supported by Windows® 10, so you may check with Microsoft* Support for assistance as well.

Regards,
