Just to confirm, when you said that you installed the Intel graphics card, are you referring to an external graphics card or the one that came pre-installed on the laptop?

Do you know the model of the processor on it?

The Intel graphics drivers are generic, meaning they may or may not work with your system, did you try the drivers provided by Lenovo? Not sure if the model of the laptop on the link below is the one you are using, but if it is, please install the VGA drivers:
