At this point, I am unable to provide information about products that haven't been released yet, however; I don't think there would be modifications to the current specifications, but that is my personal opinion.

I have to agree; I do not see this happening. Adding support for taller drives would require that the height of the chassis be increased. Thats a lot of engineering work to handle a technology bubble. By the time the next generation of NUCs comes out, I expect that the drive manufacturers will be delivering drives that provide the larger capacities desired without having to resort to increased drive heights. Actually, I expected that to happen this year, but the drive manufacturers really let us down...
Thanks for feedback. How about releasing a 3mm spacer that will increase the size of the case without changing anything on it.
Someone could even 3D print it (I wish I had a 3D printer).
Talk to GO-RITE. They do add-ons like this and may be able to help you (If they see a market for such things).
