Regulatory Information Regarding Hardware Installation or Upgrade
We know some users were able to integrate unsupported adapters to their PC's and even taped some pins to make it work; however, we do not support this type of fix and we are not aware of similar fixes for M.2 adapters.
In our best effort, we recommend to make sure the computer BIOS is up to date, confirm that the M.2 slot is enable for USB host interface. You may need to engage the computer manufacturer for details about this for your PC.
