I have a core i3 2100 with HD graphics 2000, and I've been using it with windows 10 since the OS was launched. Last week I decided to format the computer and now when I try to install the driver (from windows update or device manager), the computer freezes and I need to restart.
I can install the driver in safe mode, but I get a black screen when I restart.
I formatted the PC again, but the problem continues.
Is there anything I can do to solve it?

Hello RamonNeres,
Thank you for contacting Intel Communities.
The issue you are having may be caused due to compatibility issues, this because the Intel® Core™ i3-2100 Processor is not validated to run Windows® 10, in addition to this, the Intel® HD Graphics 2000 are compatible up to Windows 8.1*.
The reason you were able to run Windows® 10 at the beginning is because of the compatibility tool that the OS runs before the upgrade, but if you are doing a fresh installation, you may face this kind of issues.
You can try a http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005629.html manual installation of the graphics driver but I can't assure it will fix the issue.
My recommendation is to run a supported OS for your processor/system
For more information, you can check the following articles:

I hope this information helps.
Best Regards,
JC

Thanks for the answer!
I was almost going back to Windows 7 when I decided to try to clean the CPU/Mobo contacts, and it worked (I was not even hoping).
It's all OK now.
