    ASUS Z87-PRO win10 usb 3.0 not working

      Hello Intel Community! After the transition from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1 and my usb 3.0 not working then and now after my upgrade to Windows 10. When i connect any usb 3.0 device i have windows error: The device is not recognized. This happens if you connect the device to any port.

      MB: ASUS Z87-PRO. Bios has been updated to the latest version.

      Operating system: Windows 10 15063.138

          Hi, Thank you very much for joining the Intel® Chipsets communities.

          The USB 3.0 drivers are included on Windows® 10, since you already tried a BIOS update to the latest version, what we can try now is to re-install the chipset driver:

          Also we can try to run the latest Windows updates available. Another option will be to  reset the PC, to do that please enter “recovery options” on the search bar then select “get started” under “Reset this PC” and choose “keep my files” to reset the PC without losing any information.

          If the problem persists after that, then the next thing to do will be to get in contact with ASUS directly in order to check if they have a specific USB 3.0 driver for your board:

          Additionally, the problem also could be related to the Windows® transition that was done. So, as an alternative, we can try to re-install Windows from scratch, if you have the option to create the ISO image from the Windows® 10 installation disc, please try that, and then you can always create a USB bootable device by using the rufus tool in order to install Windows:

            Hi! Thanks for the answer!
            I reset the driver of the chipset, although I did before this it did not solve the problem.
            I reinstalled the operating system several times, this also did not solve my problem. As I noted in the previous message, the problem occurs on the operating systems above Windows 8.

            I also turned to ASUS technical support two and three years ago, they also could not solve my problem. I will send a request to them again.

              Hi, , You are very welcome. Thank you very much for letting us know those details, we really appreciate that.

              Yes, in this case to get in contact with ASUS again will be the best thing to do now, since we basically tried all the troubleshoot steps available to try to fix this situation. The issue could be related to a hardware problem with the board itself, but in any case to get further technical or warranty assistance you just need to get in contact directly with them.
