ho provato il ripristino completo del pc dove aver recuperato un'immagine con acronis,
è da oltre un'ora fermo a "installazione di funzionalità e driver 16%"

Thank you for contacting Intel Communities.
I understand that when you leave the USB key connected to your Intel® NUC after the 1st reboot, the operating system won't install as it should.
In this case, the correct process to install the operating system is to remove the USB drive after the 1st reboot (during POST) as all the necessary data is already in the device so it doesn't need the USB where the OS is.

Ho già rimosso la chiavetta usb dopo la prima fase. Il problema è che al riavvio si blocca su " preparazione dispositivi" .
Sarà un problema hw?
Eppure se ripristino l'immagine del sistema operativo con Acronis funziona tutto.

Can you please check there isn't any SD card installed?
In addition, can you please load the BIOS defaults? Please also update it if necessary, you may use the F7 BIOS Update Instructions for Intel® NUC.

Ho già provato a ripristinare il bios ai valori di default (F9 load default values andare then F10 Save and exit).
Non vedo il motivo di aggiornare il bios se finora non mi ha mai dato problemi, lo ritengo rischioso

si blocca sempre alla voce "preparazione dispositivi 12%"

Were you able to reinstall the OS? Is this how you tested the ethernet?
I recommend checking the following:- Is there any LED activity in the ethernet port? You won't be able to confirm connectivity until the OS is installed.
- Confirm the Ethernet (LAN) is enabled in the BIOS: F2 to get to the BIOS > Advanced > Devices > Onboard Devices.
- If you are still having issues, perform a BIOS Recovery with security jumper.

madrak73 Apr 28, 2017 1:55 AM (in response to Intel Corporation)Ho controllato sul BIOS la porta ethernet è abilitata, e dopo il riavvio ha ricomciato a funzionare.
Ripeto non riesco a fare un'installazione pulita di Windows 10, perchè si blocca appunto "preparazione dispositivi 12%"
Alla fine ho rimesso l'immagine che avevo fatto con Acronis......
Ma vorrei capire quale potrebbe essere il problema...

- Remove/Disconnect all external devices other than keyboard, mouse and (one) monitor (or TV). reconnect these external devices devices only after installing Windows 10 completely.
- Clear CMOS: Intel NUC Clearing CMOS.
- Install (or reinstall, as the case may be) the latest available BIOS (i.e. PY0062.BIO) using the Recovery Method: Intel NUC BIOS Recovery Update Instructions.
- Enter BIOS Setup (Visual BIOS), set the date and time, use F9 (followed by Y) to reset the BIOS configuration to defaults and then F10 (followed by Y) to save this configuration and exit BIOS Setup.
- Proceed with Windows installation using USB key. If this will require wired Ethernet, connect it now.
If you still see the Windows installation hang, your only recourse may be to have the NUC replaced. To determine if you are eligible: Determine if Your Product Is Still Under Warranty.
You need to contact Intel Customer Support directly to initiate the replacement process (you cannot do so here). Here is contact information (by geography):

Attualmente ho ripristinato l'immagine del OS tramite un backup fatto tempo fà con Acronis True Image.
Il nuc adesso stà lavorando senza nessun problema, ma nelle prossima settimane penso di riprovare a fare un'installazione pulita di windows 10 seguendo la tua guida.
Mi viene il dubbio che sia forse l'hard disk??
