1. Re: HM175 Chipset. .inf, .sys or .oem files to use with Acronis Universal Restore.
acdcmike Apr 23, 2017 9:56 PM (in response to acdcmike)I just found a similar thread here;
Re: Extract drivers as sys/inf files from infinst_autol.exe executable?
But there is really no answer for me in that thread. I am a command line newbie as well. I would really need step by step instructions and I still think the chipset file I'm trying to extract will not yield the files I need.

2. Re: HM175 Chipset. .inf, .sys or .oem files to use with Acronis Universal Restore.
acdcmike Apr 24, 2017 6:38 AM (in response to acdcmike)Hi Folks.
Someone replied in another forum and gave me my answer;
"Download the chipset driver, which is a EXE. In a command prompt type:
{location of EXE} -extract {location of extracted data}
for example:
C:\Downloads\SetupChipset.exe -extract C:\Downloads\ExtractedData
This will extract the data from the exe. However it seems like there is a lot of INF files, for multiple platforms. HM87 is Lynx Point, but there are multiple Lynx Point directories so I am unsure which is correct.
Maybe none of the files are correct..."
This actually extracted the file making the .inf files available to me.
Thanks

3. Re: HM175 Chipset. .inf, .sys or .oem files to use with Acronis Universal Restore.
acdcmike Apr 24, 2017 10:05 AM (in response to acdcmike)Darn, still want's this file PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_A12F8SUBSYS_11DE1462&REV_31.
Doesn't appear to be in the ChipsetSetup.exe driver file for my MSI GE72MRV laptop.
Back to square one.
Could Intel give this file to me?
Thanks

acdcmike Apr 24, 2017 10:28 AM (in response to acdcmike)Crap, would help if I didn't have a typo in the file name right?
Name: Intel(R) USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller - 1.0 (Microsoft)
Device ID: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_A12F&SUBSYS_11DE1462&REV_31\3&11583659&1&A0
Driver: C:\WINDOWS\system32\DRIVERS\USBXHCI.SYS, 10.00.15063.0011 (English), 4/14/2017 20:05:25, 388000 bytes
Pushing on.

Apr 24, 2017 11:58 AM (in response to acdcmike)This message was posted on behalf of Intel CorporationHello acdcmike,
Thank you for contacting Intel Communities.
I am glad to hear you were able to go over this.
In case you keep on having issues, I would recommend contacting the manufacturer of your laptop/desktop to look for those inf/sys/oem files.
Best Regards,
JC
