Just to let you know, remember that the Intel® graphics drivers are generic, meaning that they may or may not work with your system, specially if it is a OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) product, like your laptop in this case. We always recommend to install the drivers provided by the manufacturer, HP should be able to provide the proper drivers for your platform that works with 2 different graphics controllers, Intel and Nvidia. Now, there are some cases when “inbox drivers” those are the ones provided by Microsoft, fixed different problems and in those cases we advice to keep using that driver if the laptop has a better performance with it.
Not sure if the product below is the specific laptop that you are using, but I was looking for the drivers for it and there are no drivers available for Windows® 7:
This could be an isolated case, not sure which driver version you tried before, but just in case on the link below you will find the latest graphics driver for the Intel® HD 530 graphics controller, 4627, please let me know the results of trying that driver:
There are many peers that were able to install the driver version 4627 successfully on a computer using the Intel® HD 530 graphics controller, at this point there are no reports or known issues with that driver version.
