We understand your SSD cannot be detected after you reboot the system unless you power off and then try again.
First of all, we'd like you to please make sure the SSD is in the latest firmware update: 036C
We also would like you to please provide us the SMART details of your drive, you can easily get that by installing the Intel® Solid-State Drive Toolbox and using the export button on the main screen.
Once you have the *.csv file, please use the advanced editor option here and attach the file.
Another thing you can try is to secure erase the drive and test it, but let us know if this is possible.
