I'm working on Intel 3rd gen CPUs, and I humbly ask for clarification about ECC memory !
Reading ARK.com, the "embedded" Core i7-3612QE supports ECC memory.
Since it's an embedded core, I suppose the relevant data-sheet is the Mobile 3rd Gen CPU datasheet ?
However, I do not find the functions I was used to when controlling ECC functionalities on Desktop 3rd Gen CPUs, such as ECC status registers.
Did I miss something ? Or is ECC memory not supported by the Core i7-3612QE ?
Many thanks !
Thank you for contacting Intel Customer Support.
The Intel® Core™ i7-3612QE Processor does support ECC memory.
In this case, the difference is because since you are using an embedded CPU, there are some restrictions made by the system manufacturer that won't allow you to make specific changes.
I would recommend opening a new thread regarding this in the Intel® Embedded Design Center communities
