Hi everyone! I have a built in realsense sr300 camera and recently installed Faceshift. I have seen on youtube that people use this camera for faceshift but i cannot get it to work for me. I have the latest drivers installed and i have the SDK 2014 installed aswell but everytime i open faceshift i get a error message saying:
No OpenNI 2.0 compatible
3D sensor available.
Please attach either a
1. Carmine 1.09
2. Asus Xtion Pro Live
Does anyone know how to get faceshift to work with the realsense sr300 please?
Thank you!

The SR300 was released a while after the 2014 SDK, and so that SDK would not have support for the SR300 camera, as SR300 support was introduced in the '2016 R1' SDK. So whilst the older F200 camera has a good chance of working with Faceshift using the old 2014 SDK, that SDK does not contain any code for running the SR300 camera.
As an alternative to Faceshift for your SR300, I would recommend Facerig or its free version specially for RealSense called IRFacerig.

Facerig does not seem to have a Maya plugin. Faceshift compatibility with RealSense is high on the wish-list of RealSense users because it has the kind of flexibility you mentioned. Unfortunately, Apple purchased Faceshift after the 2015 version and so it was not updated for modern RealSense cameras and SDKs. And users have found that Faceshift only seems to work with the 2014 RealSense SDK.
The RealSense SDK is up to the '2016 R3' version now, which is about six versions newer than the original 2014 SDK. You are likely to have the best results if you go for '2016 R2' though, as it is battle-tested, whereas R3 is still quite new, having been released last December.
You might also take a look at ReconstructMe. It works with the SR300, and you can export an .obj model file and import it into Maya. I know it's not quite the same as having an actual plugin in Maya though.
