Just to make sure, have you updated UPM to the latest version v1.1.0? Did you try to use the UPM examples? And have you tried it with another pins that are available?

I dunno if it helps, but exactly that TFT display I'm using to test SPI on newest kernels. It works like a charm.

1:updated my edison to 3.5;
2:updated upm and mraa to the newest version;
3:welded IM1,IM2,IM3 on ili9341
4:connect edison arduino board to ili9341.(How do you do it?)
but UPM Invalid Argument: Invalid GPIO pin specified. is still here.

Sorry, I don't use any libraries like MRAA or UPM. The device is represented as pure FB (framebuffer) video device and I run some testing tools along with picture viewer to test.
I highly recommend to ping Intel official support to provide you an assistance.
We are not sure why this is happening to you, did you already try to change the pin configuration? That error message: UPM Invalid Argument: Invalid GPIO pin specified, appears when you have issues assigning pins (According to this link: https://github.com/intel-iot-devkit/upm/issues/535).
Did you also try to submit the issue in Github? https://github.com/intel-iot-devkit/upm/issues, I think you can get a better answer there, because it looks like an issue with the UPM library.
