Thank you for contacting Intel Customer Support.
As you mentioned, the driver is only available for older operating systems.
In this case, you should use the drivers provided by the system manufacturer (MSI).
Support for GL72 6QC - MSI
This because all other software/drivers might have been changed or replaced by the computer manufacturer.
If you keep on having this issue, I would recommend contacting MSI Support
