Skylake Audio Enhancemnt

I have 3 systems using integrated graphics. i3-6100, i5-6400T and i7-6710T. Using HDMI cable hooked to Samsung LED TV. All running Windows 10 pro 64 bit. Have tried manufacturers drivers and Intel drivers from this site. None of them have an enhancements tab with loudness equalization. Have tried just updating Intel Display Audio driver but no luck. So for the moment have assembled a temporary system all same except using i3-4150T as with the windows 10 driver I have the enhancements tab so can enable loudness equalization. Have been months trying to get it working on Skylake to no avail. Wondering what I am doing wrong

Hello Gilco2:

Thank you very much for joining the Intel® processors community.

I just wanted to let you know that the information you are reporting is correct, you are not doing anything wrong. We tested the latest version of the graphics driver for the Intel® HD Graphics 530 controller that the processors are using. We tried version 4590 and also tested the version 4501 and the option for enhancements tab with loudness equalization is not showing.

At this point then we will do further research on this subject, to confirm if that option was disable for those drivers or if there is a different way to be able to adjust the loudness equalization.

As soon as I get any updates I will post all the details on this thread.

Any further questions, please let me know.

Regards

Alberto

Gilco2: You are welcome, thank you very much for providing that information.

We appreciate and respect your decision about the processor. We understand that the Audio Enhancement is a feature that is very useful for you.

Just to let you know, there is a new driver, it is version 4664, if you have the chance, please try to install it and let us know the results:

Hi, Thankyou for replies. Loaded new driver but still no audio enhancements to get loudness equalization. I use these as home theatre PC watching movies and tv shows and music on TV set. Without Loudness Equalization I am constantly raising and lowering the volume which is not desirable. I use the Intel display audio as do not have separate graphics card for my purpose

Hi Gilco2: I just wanted to let you know that we are still doing a research on this matter. Could you please provide the following information?

Please install the SSU tool (System Support Utility):

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility

Once you do that, the tool will allow you to save the information as a file, so, once you save it, please attach it to this thread, in order for us to see it.

Any questions, please let me know.

Hello Gilco2,

I apologize for us taking so long to come back with an answer on this one, especially since it is not the kind of reply we both would have preferred.

Our development team was able to examine the status of the "Enhancements" options with Skylake and newer platforms, and it has been confirmed that this option won't be included anytime soon.

I understand that this is important for you, and that is why I'm working on collecting sufficient data to advocate internally for this to be included in the future. Per example, I'm looking for additional threads (Intel Community and 3rd party forums) when other users are requesting this option to come back. If I have new data I'll post it here as soon as possible.

Best Regards,

Ronald M.
