What we recommend in this case is to try a secure erase on the SSD. For this, you'll need to plug the SSD as a secondary drive to the SATA port and perform a secure erase. (In case you use windows*)

Unfortunately the secure Erase does not work either. Not with the toolbox, diskpart, or gparted. The ssd always reports an input-output error.
If you can't secure erase the 240GB Intel SSD Pro 1500 in Windows. You'd better to try the third party disk format tool, like AOMEI Partition Assistant, EaseUS Partition Master, MiniTool Partition Wizard, etc. You can format Intel SSD drive with a few clicks.
