I bought a Lenovo T400 with a 7200 rpm drive two days ago. Pretty nice. Today I bought an Intel SSDSA2M080G2GC (80GB 2.5" form factor) drive.
I then cloned the 7200 rpm drive onto the SSD using anonther computer. On the other computer I see all my files on the SSD. So the SSD is OK. However when I boot with the SSD the Lenovo does not boot but instead shown the error "disk read error". I upgraded to the latest Lenovo firmware and BIOS. No luck. Do I need some driver from Intel. Any help? thanks
You needed to know the chipset to get the correct Raid driver. Edward Zhao posted the link to the driver you probably need.
If you have an installed floppy drive you should be just fine. If you are going to be using a USB floppy drive you need to look at the Microsoft link I posted for CraftyPanda a couple of days ago.
