The fact that your Logitech Dinovo Media set is not working using the Front USB panel; this could mean that there is something wrong with your Front panel device. Is there a chance you can connect it to the back panel?
Please reply back with the motherboard BIOS version?
No, it does'nt work in backpanel usb ports as well. Usb ports won't discover flash drives either btw. No problem with standard, kabel connected keyboard and mouse.
Bios is: BIOS Version/Date Intel Corp. KGIBX10J.86A.3206.2009.0805.1855, 05/08/2009
Check the bios if usb legacy is enable. Check also if there are usb ports displayed, that they are enabled.
Added: You may also want to update the bios to 4507.
There is a newer BIOS available. 4752 was released 2/17/2010 it fixes the onboard bluetooth.
Installed bios 4752 as suggested. Backpanel usb's now discovers flash drives, but not the logitech keyboard controller. Frontpanel usb's still only discover kabel connected HID standard keyboard/mouse.
All USB ports and legacy enabled.
Changed bios to another (newer?) version already.
The keyboard and mouse are reflected in the device manager as HID keyboard and mouse devices. I have a Logitech wireless mouse and a generic USB keyboard and both are registered as HID Keyboard device and HID mouse device. I did not install the mouse driver and program "setpoint" because I did not find them usefull.
Added: The latest bios version is the one stated by Rbsutton. In another unit of mine (OS is xp) with a bluetooth mouse I have a bluetooth device in the device manager.
