Iris 540 and StarCraft II

I got Dell XPS 9350 with Iris Graphics 540 and I am hardly able to play StarCraft II on it or any other game that I tried (Dota 2 for example). PC randomly hangs during the game. Before I was using Dells own version of the graphics driver and it wasn't even starting - freezing on the first screen. After I installed drivers from your site directly it got better, became playable at least. But eventually it still hangs. I currently have driver version https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26604/Graphics-Intel-Graphics-Driver-Beta-15-45-?product=88358 Beta 15.45.4614. Can you suggest anything (apart from not playing it at all)?

Hello dbarbakadze:

At this point you tried the main steps that we recommend to do, which is to install the latest graphics drivers provided by the manufacturer of the laptop in this case Dell, and also the latest driver available is our web site which is 4614:

I looked for the specifications of your laptop, according to the link I found is working with i7-6560U, and we do have a site where we recommend the best game settings, please try those settings on the games and let us know the results:

StarCraft II:

Dota 2

Also another option will be to get in contact directly with Dell to get the instructions to do a BIOS update on the laptop, and to check also if they have further suggestions.

Not sure if the graphics driver from Dell that you tried is the following, just in case here is the link:

Tried those settings. So far so good. Didn't hang during two levels. But the quality is quite bad now, as well as resolution.

Thanks for the tip though. Better than nothing.

I do have all the latest updates, including that of BIOS. Dells support is useless.

Hello dbarbakadze:

You are welcome.

Thank you very much for letting us know that information.

Excellent, it is great to hear the games are not getting freeze anymore, even though the resolution is not the one you wanted, but at least the games are working, since from our side basically that is the only option left to try to fix the problem.

Any other inquiry, do not hesitate in contact us again.

Regards

Alberto
