hello everybody..

i'm newbie in here, may i have a question with my pc server:

spesification: intel server board S1200v3rps, intel xeon E3-1200 v4, DDR 8Gb, harddrive 1Tb, with dual onboard nic

- how much pc clients can be handled with this server.? each pc clients use VM-ware (virtual machine) to load the aplications

- can this server be installed with non windows server.? e.g windows 7 or windows 8

This is a very good question. Some literature states that you need to check with the Hypervisor vendor to confirm how many Virtual Processors you can have for each Logical Processor.

I reviewed some online resources and it seems that for each Logical Processor you can have 12 Virtual Processors. Again, this information would be better answer by your hypervisor vendor such as Microsoft, VMware, Citrix, etc.Regards,Dave A
