Linux, Centrino Wireless - N 1000 BGN/ How do I get this working on a laptop running Yakaty Yak. (Ubuntu latest)?

I am trying to get the WiFi on my brothers HP pavilion laptop to work. The crappy Windows OS was replaced with Kubuntu Yakaty Yak. I had the same problem on my lap top but the firmware I added to fix mine didn't work on his. Not surprised since his is a different version. The firmware did enable it to see the access point, but it still can't connect. Maybe there is a different firmware package that he needs. Please give me the name, so I can tell APT to install it. It's probably in the distro's repos. I just need the package name please.
