Thank you very much for letting us know that information.
Based on that it seems to be there is a conflict between the operating system and the driver, because we install the latest driver version in one of our laptops, on the Microsoft® Surface Pro 4, with Windows 10 and the driver was installed properly, then we did a downgrade on it and use the overall option to install the latest version again and it got installed with no problems, just in case here is the link for the driver:
So, you mentioned you do not want to re-install Windows, but at this point it will be the next thing to do.
If you are using a laptop, then before trying that you can try to install the chipset driver provided by the manufacturer and also you can check with them if to re-install Windows is an option that you can try.
In regard to the problem with the date, that is something that we are currently working on to try to fix that data on the driver.
