I have lost access to the graphics profiles sub menu that used to be displayed via the Intel Graphics system tray icon?

I have Windows 10, on an ASUS X556UV notebook with Intel HD Graphics 520 on driver version 21.20.16.4550.

Hello AjN3806:

In order to try to get access to the Intel graphics control panel again, please try the following drivers, those are the latest graphics version for the Intel® HD Graphics 520:

Beta driver 4552:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26464/Intel-Graphics-Beta-Driver-15-45-?product=88355 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26464/Intel-Graphics-Beta-Driver-15-45-?product=88355

Driver 4542:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26404/Graphics-Intel-Graphics-Driver-15-45-?product=88355 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26404/Graphics-Intel-Graphics-Driver-15-45-?product=88355

Remember that the Intel graphics drivers are generic, which means they might or might not work with your computer, that is why we recommend to install the drivers provided by the manufacturer:

https://www.asus.com/Notebooks/ASUS-Vivobook-X556UV/HelpDesk_Download/ https://www.asus.com/Notebooks/ASUS-Vivobook-X556UV/HelpDesk_Download/

Please let me know the results of trying the drivers above.

Any further questions, please let me know.

Regards

Alberto

Thanks Alberto, I have installed the latest driver found here...

https://www.asus.com/Notebooks/ASUS-Vivobook-X556UV/HelpDesk_Download/ https://www.asus.com/Notebooks/ASUS-Vivobook-X556UV/HelpDesk_Download/

...which is 20.19.15.4364.

The setup installation reported a newer version was already installed, but I continued to rollback to 4364.

Hello AjN3806:

Thank you for letting us know that information.

What we can try now is basically the same steps as before, to install the driver that worked fine again and then to disable the Windows driver updates.

How to disable Windows driver updates:

Any questions, please let me know.

Having Windows 10 build 1607, I simply selected properties of the device in device manager, opened the Driver tab and selected "Roll Back Driver".

Hi Alberto,

This problem has surfaced again after Window 10 Creators Update installed. Now the "rollback driver" option is greyed out?

The driver details...

Driver Provider: Intel Corporation

Driver Date: 11/11/2016

Driver Version: 21.20.16.4550

I've downloaded from...

https://www.asus.com/Laptops/ASUS-Vivobook-X556UV/HelpDesk_Download/ https://www.asus.com/Laptops/ASUS-Vivobook-X556UV/HelpDesk_Download/

...the latest driver...

Version 21.20.16.4550.06 (2017/01/05)

...and the problem is still present.

When will this be fixed properly and the next version to be released, with the features that have been lost from version 20.19.15.4364?

AjN3806
