Researching reports of using RealSense cameras with a Surface Pro, they virtually all described problems. I only saw one instance in which someone had successfully used RealSense on their Surface Pro 4, and I think even that was an F200 camera.
Apparently things are not much better on the current Surface Book range that came after Surface Pro 4.

Additionally, as MartyG has mentioned, there is reported some issues while using a Surface Pro with Intel RealSense cameras, also, I have found this other case that could interest you, it is regarding a user that have been able to use a SP4 with the SR300 camera: https://communities.intel.com/message/446762#446762.
Based on the reports, it seems to be some issues using that camera with the SP4, however, other users have used it with other camera models (F200 and SR300) successfully, so we believe you could have some issues using the R200 camera, but in case you get one, don’t hesitate to contact us and we will glad to help you.
