Hi
My Dell PowerEdge T610 documentation says only the E5600 processor will support 1.35v DIMMS. Will the E5520 processor accept 1.35v DIMMS (even if they can only run at 1.5V)?
Thanks

"Support for 1.35V low voltage (LV) DIMMs with 5600 series processors "
Refer to section 7.0 on page 30 of http://www.dell.com/downloads/global/products/pedge/en/server-poweredge-t610-tech-guidebook.pdf http://www.dell.com/downloads/global/products/pedge/en/server-poweredge-t610-tech-guidebook.pdf
Any further questions should be directed to dell support regarding what their motherboard supports.

Thanks, but I've been through the DELL and Intel documentation. Neither answer my question regarding backward compatibility of the E5520 with 1.35v LV DIMMS.

It is the motherboard manufacturer that dictates what memory is supported. Only Dell can help you with that. And, their documentation clearly states what is supported when using 5600 series processors.

I will check with Dell. Incidentally, my question is related to memory support of the 5520, not the 5600 processors.
Thanks

I understand DDR3 runs at 1.5V. My recommendation, contact Dell for information about this memory voltage support.
