Which NIC driver version are you running, and how did you install it?
Please try to download latest driver from http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=18236 and run the .bat file to install the driver.
Hi i used the latest nic driver (14.7)
I figured out how to solve the problem! but its still strange!
it has to do with the RAM! the machine has 8x4gb kingston ram fb ecc
i removed 1 dimm and the machine was on his old perfomance ~ 70-100 MB /s
so i tried the ram one by one result: no problem
replugged in all 32gb (not in the same order i think) and the machine is fast as it should by. (not even a single error with the latest memtest 2pass)
by reordering the ram i can reproduce the error!!!!
my theory is that 2 dimms are not working well in dual modus??
Yes it's strange... I assume all your 8 DIMMs are identical right? You mean the issue is only seen when the DIMMs are populated in certain order? Do you see all 32GB memory in BIOS/OS?
I'd suggest you check SEL for errors. Run PCT and see if there're any errors. Also plug the DIMMs one by one to isolate the issue.
hi thank you for your time!
yes all 8 are identical! yes i tried them one by one without any problem! yes it happens only in a certain order!
if the sel errors are also shown in bios (event) there are no errors. the server runs since 2 weeks now with the changed "ram order" without any problems.
il try the pct thank you again
