I would download and manually install the latest available BIOS for your unit and I would suggest that you do so using the Recovery Method (documented here: Intel NUC BIOS Recovery Update Instructions).

I assume the BIOS update will completely flash the BIOS without anything false being left, as it is more than 10 meg in size.
I also compared the MD5 after burning it on CD (looks like I am a little paranoid but it would not be the first time my PC got hacked).
