What does it do now when you turn it on? Do the fans spin? does the HDD start up? what happens if you take the memory out and turn it on?
Have you tried to clear CMOS?
Nothing happens the fans wont spin, HDD wont start. only the standby led on the mobo is lit (green). taking out the memory din work. actually what happened is I installled Win7 and found I hav'nt partitioned the HD. so I tried to install Win 7 again without installing Mobo drivers. Can this be the coz ?
There are two led near the cpu. One monitor the processor temperature and the other for the processor's voltage regulator temperature.
Yes , But I'm refering to the standby power LED (green) near the main power socket on the mobo.
If i were you i would take it all to bits, and out of the chassis, clear the cmos battery by removing ir for 20 minutes, then on a test becnhor a cradboard box put the CPU back in and the CPU fan, (PSU as well) then boot up see what happens and postback here
Hey it worked . I cleared CMOS by removing the battery and it worked. thanks for the advice. I installed WIN 7 again withiout any prob. but still there is no beep on startup. is it normal for DX58SO ????
it seems to be a problem with power usage caused by didnt connecting the CPU Core Power Cable or VGA External Power Cable to the Sockets on the Board
or Maybe caused by using a power supply which designed to DX58SO, Try Using Commander 750 Power Supply.
About the Green Light is Stand by Power Indicator or Power Ragualtor Extreme Heat Indicating Green Light.
Intersting - special the recent comments about the power supply!
I have had the DX58SO mb running for 2 years and suddenly, yesterday when we had a power failure (and I shut down the system down gracefully as it is running on a APC 2200 SmartUPS) - Cable Failure somwhere in the grid (cable/copper theft is rife in RSA) this system did not want to some on after the power was restored. 2 other older systems as well as this lenovo I am typing on now, are aall running fine.
System does not start up - no fans, no screen, Only thing I could detect was a low buzz from the speakers (external). On opening the case I could see this buzz/drone matches with the green LED. When I pull the plug, the led flickers for a while and than dies with a last bright light.
I have tried resetting the CMOS Rom with the jumper and also removing the Battery as someone suggested but no go.
I have disconnected everything form the mobo also the memory and replaced it but still no go.
I will see if I can borrow a PS as the previous mail suggested and see what thaat does. (existing ps is a 750W In Win Commander(?) which I would have thought is the better PS for this system. Ram is 3 x 2GB DDR3, CPU is i9 320 ("Build your ulimate System" of 2 years ago article. OPsys is Win 7(64) SP1 Ultimate. Graphic Card is GV-NX86T256H. Also a USB3 nec card that never worked.
