I am aware that what I'm asking is most likely a no, especially with a totally different card manufacturer. But can I upgrade to another intel card so my kids can play the newest games such as Tomb Raider (daughter's request) or The Witcher 3 (son's request)?
With the current 4000 gpu these games are completely unplayable.

No, you cannot upgrade. The graphics are part of the processor/cpu. It is not a separate or add-on graphics card.

Hello huskerfan,
Thank you for contacting the Intel community.
That's correct, the Intel graphics is part of the processor and it cannot be upgraded.
Regards,
Ivan.

For better performance on games you can try installing the latest graphics driver, you can download it here:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25977/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10-and-Windows-7-8-1-15-33-?product=81499 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25977/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10-and-Windows-7-8-1-15-33-?product=81499
If you get an error installing this driver, uninstall the old driver and install this driver manually.
