Hi Folks,
I have an intel 5300 agn card in my thinkpad t400 laptop. It's running windows 7 pro 64-bit. I need to restict my card to use 802.11b only sometimes (since it defaults to a/g otherwise, which are flaky at my office). I can't find a way to do this on windows 7. I see that there are options to restrict the band (2.4GHz vs 5GHz), but not the actual protocol. Is there any way I can restrict it? Thanks a bunch.

1)Log in as Administrator on your machine.
2)Type devmgmt.msc in Run Window.
3)Network Adapters --> 5300 --> RtClk on Properties
4)Advanced Tab --> Wireless Mode
5)Select 802.11b and clk Ok.
(Follow same steps to revert to 802.11a/b/g )
Thanks
Sachin
