Just another user here, as AutoCAD uses a lot of GPU features, I would install & run Intel graphics update utility and update graphics driver to the latest first.

Also contact Autodesk too, they suggest very specific graphics chip & driver combinations.

Dear Ilgaz,

I updated the graphic driver to the latest version Intel published.

The problem is the same. 1/3 of the lower part isn't looking good.

Have a look at the 2 added files.

Please give me a solution, because I can't work with the wrong display.

Best regards,

Marcel Warmerdam

Hello mwarmer,

Could you please let me know the current driver version you are running? Please go to Device Manger> Display adapters> Intel(R) HD Graphics right click on Properties and then go to Driver, you will be able to see the version installed.

Regards,

Amy.

Marcel, let's try installing the following drivers;

  • Intel Management Engine version 11.0.0.1172
  • Intel Chipset version 10.1.1.13
  • INTEL Graphic driver version 20.19.15.4331

These drivers can be found here http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=5844# dl, just filter by your operating system.

Please let me know how that goes.

Amy.

Hi Amy,

  1. I installed the management system. à problem there was already a management system installed on my computer. So it was not installed complete. But the management system is working fine.
  2. I installed the chipset à no problem
  3. I installed the Graphic driver à Do I want to down grade my driver HD graphics 520 (21.20.16.45242) into 20.19.15.4331?

Best regards,

I can't write on behalf of Intel but it is pretty common to use older, certified and tested driver versions when you do professional work. Actually you may need to make sure they never get updated by Ms Windows update once you see that they are working.

Ilgaz thank you for input.

Marcel, I wanted to check if the behavior continues with the driver provided by your computer manufacturer. Drivers provided the computer manufacturer are normally customized to work features of each system, as mentioned they are certified to work with their systems.

Let me know how it goes.

Amy.

Hi Amy,

I downgraded the display driver.

But this is not the solution.

In Autocad I opened a couple of drawings. Result: all the same. The lower part of the is not correct.

Is the videocard broken? Or is it the driver?

Thank you for the screenshots.

To cross out a possible driver issue, please try one of the Intel® HD Graphics Beta version. Use this version; https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26464/Intel-Graphics-Beta-Driver-15-45-?product=88345 Download Intel Graphics Beta Driver [15.45].

I would like to know; have you contact Above in regard to this matter?

Amy.

Hi Amy,

I just downloaded the driver, installed and tried the Autocad drawings.

Result: the same problem. This is not the solution.

You mentioned: have you contact Above in regard to this matter?

Who do I have to contact?

Thank you for any advise.

Thank you for installing the driver. Now, we can diagnose that this is not driver related.

Sorry, I forgot to add the link. I meant; http://www.autodesk.nl/ Autodesk | 3D ontwerp-, engineering- en entertainmentsoftware. The next step should be contacting them and file a report for this matter, it's possible that they are aware of this matter and can provided more troubleshooting steps.

Let me know how it goes.

Regards,

Amy.

Dear Amy,

Thank you for your answer. But the link is Spanish. I don't understand Spanish. My mothers language is Dutch (which is not Spanish). I can understand and write English and German, but no Spanish.

Best regards.

Hi Amy,

PROBLEM SOLVED

I turned off: Hardware acceleration in Autocad 2017.

So there is a problem in combiantion of the Hardware acceleration and the Intel 520 Video driver.

Is it possible Intel can solve this problem? Now you know where to look after.

Best regards, Marcel Warmerdam

I apologize for the link, when I googled it was the first link in the search; however, I just changed the language to Dutch for your convenience. http://www.autodesk.nl/ Autodesk | 3D ontwerp-, engineering- en entertainmentsoftware.

You mentioned that your operating system does not have any troubles, and this means that the driver is working properly. The driver does not seem to be the issue here, enabling or disabling the hardware acceleration is a common scenario in fact there is an article from AutoCAD. See here for it; English version https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-enable-or-disable-hardware-acceleration-in-AutoCAD.html How to enable or disable hardware acceleration in AutoCAD | AutoCAD | Autodesk Knowledge Network, and the Dutch version; https://knowledge.autodesk.com/de/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/DEU/How-to-enable-or-disable-hardware-acceleration-in-AutoCAD.html Aktivieren oder Deaktivieren der Hardwarebeschleunigung in AutoCAD | AutoCAD | Autodesk Knowledge Network.

Hello Marcel,

As I mentioned earlier, our development team is working on this issue. It would be helpful for our developers if you could share with us one of your CAD drawings that shows the issue.

Feel free to attach one here and I'll be sure to share it with our devs.

Many thanks for your feedback, it is a tremendous help.

Hi again Marcel,

Is there any chance of getting some sample CAD drawings where we can see the issue happening?
