to detect the distance between the target and the camera,R200 or SR300 which is better?

It depends what sort of distance you want to measure. The R200 isn't much good below 50cm but can work to 3+ metres out, while the SR300 can go as close as 10-15cm but stops around 1.5-2m. The code for the two of them will be identical, so you could easily swap the cameras out depending on your subject.

Thank you for contacting us. I agree with jb455. You should choose a camera depending on the distance from the camera to the target. The SR300 is intended to be used in indoor applications that require a range from 20 to 120 cm.
