    Powering Intel Edison Arduino Breakout

I have seen a few application which are powered with 9V kable and battery pack. However, some people shared it is bad idea to power edison with it and gave no reason. I wanted to know is it okay to power Edison with 9v battery? This is what exactly I want to use.

          Hello kartuc,

          Thanks for reaching out!

Using a battery to power Edison is the ideal scenario, nevertheless, as long as Edison and its peripherals don't demand more current that the battery can provide, it should work just fine. However, a battery is not a very reliable power source and you should continuously check its charge because it is too low, it might indeed damage the board.

So, you can indeed use this configuration but you have to be extra careful.
