I really apologize that it took me some time to come around to this post and be able to help you.
The reason why you’re having problem installing the latest Intel® generic driver is most likely because the driver for your Intel® component might have been changed or replaced by the computer manufacturer. We recommend you work with your manufacturer before trying to install our driver so you don’t lose features or customizations.
However, you can try to install the driver again manually, first disconnect the internet before doing the installation and completely uninstall the driver already install and start a fresh installation of the driver.
