Hello ahmad83it,

We understand you have purchased and installed an http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/wireless-products/dual-band-wireless-ac-7260-bluetooth.html Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 and installed it on your computer, and would like to take advantage of the http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/emerging-technologies/intel-wireless-technologies/intel-wireless-display-intel-widi.html Intel® Wireless Display Technology (Intel® WiDi).

We regret to inform you that what you are doing is not supported, and the software in question has been discontinued for several months now.

When it comes to wireless adapters, only your computer manufacturer is authorized to install or upgrade this hardware. This is due to the many possible compatibility and regulatory issues that could arise. The exception for this would be the http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/wireless-products/dual-band-wireless-ac-7260-bluetooth-desktop.html Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 for desktop model.

- http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/network-and-i-o/wireless-networking/000005687.html Regulatory Information Regarding Wireless Hardware Installation or Upgrade.

Additionally, Intel® WiDi was discontinued on August 15th, 2016.

- http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/architecture-and-technology/widi-pro-widi-discontinued-notice.html Intel® WiDi and Intel® Pro WiDi Applications Discontinued Notice.

It's also worth noting that many Samsung* TVs don't support Intel® WiDI, but rather Wireless Direct or Miracast. Usually only to comunicate among Samsung* devices. For example to connect your same branded cellphone or tablet to your TV.

Our recommendation in this case will be to contact the support channel for your Smart TV.

Best regards,

Carlos A.
