Please bear in mind that your operating system already contains the latest INF utility for your chipset controller.
The installation will work if you would have this file with a fresh windows installation.
I've been considering updating the chip set software to 10.1.1.14. I'm running Windows 10 Pro build 15042 64-bit. I've looked at logs from other posts regarding failure to install 10.1.1.14. I did notice that the install software looks for a Registry entry for .Net Framework v3.5. Windows 10 Registry by default contains only .Net Framework v4.0.
You can turn on .Net Framework v3.5 :
Go to the "Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features" window
Click on the link “Turn Windows features on or off”.
Check if the “.NET Framework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0)” option is available in it.
If yes, then enable it and then click on “OK”.
Then retry the chipset install.
Post back if this fixes your problem.
