Hello Suncatcher,

I apologize for any inconvenience.

Let's try addressing this crash issue with the following suggestion;

Uninstall the current driver version installed

  1. Open the Device Manager.
  2. Expand the Display Adapters section.
  3. Find the Intel Graphics Driver.
  4. Right click Intel Graphics Driver and select Uninstall.
  5. Select the check box Delete the driver software for this device.
  6. Reboot the computer after uninstall process has finished.
  7. Install this driver https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26404/Intel-Graphics-Driver-15-45-?product=88345 Download Intel® Graphics Driver [15.45], use this method for the installation http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005629.html Manually Install an Intel® Graphics Driver in Windows® 10 and Windows... .

Let me know how that goes.

Regards,

Amy.

So you propose me to reinstall the driver of the same version? I already use 15.4542.

The idea is to completely remove all entries generated by the first installation of the driver. It's possible that the driver some how missed some files, and now is crashing. If the method mentioned before does not work, try this one; http://www.askvg.com/how-to-completely-uninstall-remove-a-software-program-in-windows-without-using-3rd-party-software/ How to Completely Uninstall / Remove a Software Program in Windows without using 3rd Party Software? - AskVG.

If you would like to test other drivers, check here for the list; https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/88345/Intel-HD-Graphics-530 Downloads for Intel® HD Graphics 530.

Yes, I reinstalled the driver manually, but the problem is still persistent.

BTW, is it normal that driver date is showed as October in Device Manager

but on the driver page November is specified?

The date should not matter since the last 4 digits will indicate the version installed.

Are you using a laptop? Have you tried installing the driver provided by your computer manufacturer?

Amy.

/thread/109243 Suncatcher, if you provide your laptop model I can help searching the proper driver from the computer manufacturer.

Amy.

Well, I installed manufacturer driver and it works good, but it is older than yours! Do you treat it normal to use out-of-date drivers just because actual are buggy??? I do not.

My manufacturer driver is 20.19.15.4454. Laptop model is Dell Inspiron 7559.

Intel provides generic versions of drivers for general purposes. These drivers may and may not work with your system since they are generic. Your computer manufacturer may have altered the features, changed the release date, incorporated customizations, or made other changes to your driver, this is why your driver works better than the generic one. As a recommendation Intel recommends to use the customized drivers provided by the computer manufacturer.

Amy.
