    dual band wireless 7265 driver

      Dear community,

       

      I am looking for the Intel dual band wireless 7265 driver. I do not understand how to use the projet wireless software as it is displaying one only option : import profile. Where can I find the driver alone?

          We understand you're looking for the latest drivers for your Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265.

          Our recommendation is to always check with your computer manufacturer for drivers, as the features of your wireless adapter may have been changed, and they have the modified drivers to match.

          However, you may try and download our latest generic version depending on your operating system:

          - Latest Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software and Drivers for:
          - Windows* 7
          - Windows* 8.1
          - Windows® 10

          Or if you're looking to install the wireless driver without any additional software, you may try our latest IT Admin package.

            Thank you for your answer.

             

            My computer is a Asus ZenBook UX305FA, Windows 8.1 64bits

             

            Thanks to your advices I tried the Asus wireless driver (here : ASUS ZenBook UX305FA | Notebooks | ASUS Global ) for windows 8.1, which does not solve my issue.

             

            I also tried your IT Admin package with the same result (I run DPInst64 and iprodifx am I correct ?), rebooting my computer each time.

             

            With PROset/wireless software it does not work neither.

             

            The only time it works, it is when I restore windows from a previous time OR use windows troubleshoot native tool but it is random as sometimes it detect something, sometimes not.

             

            So I used Intel System Support Utility and generated 2 reports : OK SCENARIO when it works AND NOK SCENARIO when it doesnt (I associated screenshots so you can better understand the problem).

             

            It seems like sometimes when I start my computer, the Intel Dual band Wireless-AC 7265 is not detected at all by the system (and if I do not fix the problem it remains like this).

              The error code you receive when the adapter is not showing does help us narrow down the possible causes.

              According to Microsoft*, error code 45 means: "Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer".

              Of course we are aware that you are not physically removing your wireless adapter, but it's possible that your computer's power saving features could be causing it to go to sleep and not wake up. Or, worse case scenario, it could be physically loose on it's slot.

              1. Device Manager > Network Adapters, right click on the Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265, and go to Power Management. Toggle the option to "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".
              2. Control Panel > Power Options > Change Plan Settings > Change advanced power settings > Wireless Adapter Settings and make sure to set your adapter to "Maximum performance" while plugged in and on battery.
              3. Make sure your BIOS is up to date.

              Since a system restore also resolves your problem temporarily, it's possible that a troublesome Windows* update could be causing the adapter to disappear. One way to test this would be for you to remove your current driver, and test an older PROSet version, such as 18.40.0.

              Please let us know if any of this makes a difference.

                  Hello Carlos,

                   

                  To be honest the problem evolved strangely. First the system restore solution was not working anymore and I was not able to apply your solutions as my Dual Band did not appear in the device manager. Finaly the Dual Band appeared again (?!) after a reboot (one among others). Then I applied your 1st and 2nd instructions. For now the issue has not appeared for 5 days and everything seems ok (before it was more than twice a day).

                   

                  I can not say if it works because of your instructions but as I have no problem anymore it might be.
