The Wireless-AC 7260 *is* the best and most compatible WiFi card for the WY NUCs.
All WY BIOS versions will support this card, but I recommend that you install the latest version available (WY0043). This latest BIOS can be downloaded from here: Download BIOS Update [WYLPT10H.86A]. You want to download file WY0043.BIO and then follow these installation instructions: BIOS Update Instructions for Intel® NUC (I recommend the F7 method).
The latest Windows 10 drivers for this WiFi card can be downloaded from here: Download Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software and Drivers for Windows® 10. Download the package for your Windows version (i.e. 32-Bit (x86) versus 64-Bit (x64)) and execute to install.
The latest Windows 10 drivers for this WiFi card's Bluetooth capability can be downloaded from here: Download Intel® Wireless Bluetooth® Software for Windows® 10. Again, download the package for your Windows version (i.e. 32-Bit (x86) versus 64-Bit (x64)) and execute to install.
If, after installing the latest BIOS and drivers, the problems continue, there are three possibilities that come to mind:
- The WiFi card is improperly mounted. Remove and then reinstall, making sure you properly seat into lower M.1 socket (mSATA SSDs go in upper M.1 socket and sit above the WiFi card).
- The NUC is damaged.
- The WiFi card is damaged.
