Thank you for your question.
We understand your laptop is currently using the Intel® Centrino® Wireless-N 100, and you're looking to replace it with a newer model to be able to take advantage of the 5GHz band.
Before we can make any kind of suggestion, we'll like to highlight that due to regulatory issues, end users are not authorized to upgrade or install wireless adapters. Some systems only allow for pre-approved adapters to be installed, which can cause unexpected compatibility issues. Please make sure to review the following articles, and check with your computer manufacturer before proceeding.
- Regulatory Information Regarding Hardware Installation or Upgrade.
- Why Doesn't My Laptop Recognize My New Intel® Wireless Adapter?
That being said, the Intel® Centrino® Wireless-N 100 was only available in the PCIe Half MiniCard (HMC) form factor. It's important to keep in mind that most newer adapters may only be available in the M.2 form factor instead, which will probably not work in your system.
Bellow you will find our wireless product selection guide, and a custom product comparison I created for you from our product specifications website. Even though all the products under the second link are dual band adapters available in the form factor you need, we can't stress enough the importance of checking with your system manufacturer for compatibility.

In some cases, an USB wireless adapter may be a simpler solution over upgrading your preinstalled adapter (we do not manufacture USB wireless adapters).
