I have an Asus Laptop ROG GL752VW and when i try to restart it , the driver shut the display down turning into black. I know it's the driver because i uninstalled it and the restart goes right.I have this problem just in restart case. If i want to shut down my laptop and turn it back on it works but like this i can't install windows update Don't know what to do.

Hello Lihet:

On the following link you will be able to install the proper graphics driver for your laptop, look for the one that says VGA:

https://www.asus.com/ROG-Republic-Of-Gamers/ROG-GL752VW/HelpDesk_Download/ https://www.asus.com/ROG-Republic-Of-Gamers/ROG-GL752VW/HelpDesk_Download/

Since the laptop works with you can try the following driver, it is version 4542:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26404/Intel-Graphics-Driver-15-45-?product=88345 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26404/Intel-Graphics-Driver-15-45-?product=88345

Also, as an option you can try a BIOS update to the latest version, you can always verify with ASUS directly about how to do that, and also to verify if the problem might be related to the laptop itself:

ASUS phone number: 1 510-739-3777

ASUS support site: https://www.asus.com/us/support/ https://www.asus.com/us/support/

Any questions, please let me know.

Alberto

Alberto, first of all thank you but that didn't work. From first link i have installed both intel drivers update and nothing, same problem. I have tried with the second link but also nothing. The problem could be from the laptop ?

Hello Lihet:

Correct, from our side that is the best thing we can do, if trying the drivers above did not fix the problem, then the issue could be very well related to the laptop itself, which in that case the next thing to do will be to get in contact with ASUS directly for further technical or warranty assistance.

As an option you can always try an older driver in order to verify if it works better with an older version, you can look for the drivers on the link below:

Any questions, please let me know.
