Thank you for contacting us. May I ask why do you want to have this configuration? These drivers enable important features, such as programming the board via the Arduino IDE and Ethernet over USB. If you don’t want to have CDC and RNDIS enabled then you’d have to skip the step where you install that package. If the drivers are not installed, CDC and RNDIS won’t be enabled.
If you look at https://software.intel.com/en-us/installing-drivers-for-intel-edison-board-with-windows , you’d notice that having the Edison recognized as a drive is listed as a requirement before installing the drivers.
