I would like to upgrade my Intel Centrino Advanced N-6230 to a newer Dual Band Wireless AC card.

What is the latest and best card available that is the same format and will work in my half mini PCIe card slot?

I can not find the 8260 or the 8265 in this format?

Hello TReedB,

The end user is not authorized to install or upgrade these wireless adapters. They can only be installed by the manufacturer or its authorized representative. This is due to both regulatory, and compatibility issues. For more information, you may refer to the following articles:

- http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/network-and-i-o/wireless-networking/000005687.html Regulatory Information Regarding Hardware Installation or Upgrade.

We highly recommend for you to contact your http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/topics/oems.html computer manufacturer for a list of pre-approved wireless adapters, and if possible to get the upgrade directly from them.

That being said, from our current line-up, the only adapters still made in both M.2 and PCIe Half Mini Card (HMC) form factors are the Intel® Dual Band Wireless-N (and AC) 7260 and the Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 3160 models.
